The Jefferson County Citizens Coalition works to educate and empower voters while advocating for issues that improve conditions for African Americans across Jefferson County, AL. The coalition was founded by former Birmingham Mayor Richard Arrington Jr. in 1977.

The Blue Ballot is a voter guide featuring candidates endorsed and vetted by the Jefferson County Citizens Coalition and will be available from volunteers in blue vests at your local voting site on Primary Election Day, Tuesday, May 19.
